So so - But it's Youka Nitta

I love seeing more of Youka Nitta's work available in English and this one is ok. I have a pretty high tolerance for things that tend to make people squeamish. And this even made me squeamish and slightly uncomfortable. I just found Mamiya's reaction to the whole thing too accepting and unrealistic, even if it is sort of explained...

Apparently he's being used and blackmailed for sex so he thinks if he doesn't do anything it'll just end quicker. I just can't see why the hell would he forgive Ohsuga and Eiji or even consider a future relationship with either (or both) of them.

Too far fetched even for yaoi land.
This is also heavily censored, but I'm 99% sure it's because of Japan's new censorship laws. They just want to take out all the fun away.

Platinum Pasta

As a huge fan of Youka Nitta's, it always makes me happy to see her works available in English.
Platinum Pasta is a single chapter and it revolves around Mamiya, the owner of an Italian restaurant, the fisherman Ohsuga, and the herb garden owner Eiji. Mamiya gets ingredients from both Eiji and Ohsuga and the three of them sorta became close enough to be called friends.
Mamiya once witnessed what he thought was a lover's quarrel between Eiji and Ohsuga that he decided to intervene by helping them getting closer but he did not realize that all this would backfire on him.
It would be great if there was some kind of resolution but the story ended in a good place. I hope more of Nitta-sensei's works become localized.

The sex scenes are beautifully drawn as always by Nitta sensei but the plot mmmmm at some point it turns out to be a little confusing and then they talked about characters that were not contemplated in the story at all. Honestly, I was a little dissapointed with this purchase, for a one-shot I expected more.
