Leonard Stringfield was born in 1920. He was director of CRIFO (Civilian Research, Interplanetary Flying Objects) - one of the world's largest research groups during the mid-5Os, and publisher of its newsletter, ORBIT (1953-1957).

He also worked in cooperation with the United States Air Force (1953-1957), investigating and reporting UFO activity, having been assigned a special code number for reporting to the Air Defense Command in Columbus, Ohio.

For over 30 years, Stringfield served in several of the major UFO organizations in a public relations capacity. From 1957 to 1970, he was public relations adviser with the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP). Later on, he was Director of Public Relations and a board member of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). He was also a regional investigator for the Center for UFO Studies, directed by Dr. J. Allen Hynek.

Stringfield was an executive with DuBois Chemicals, an international manufacturer. Stringfield retired in 1981 as Director of Public Relations and Marketing Services for DuBois Chemicals, a division of Chemed Corp., after 31 years service with the company.

From 1967-1968 he served as Early Warning Coordinator for the University of Colarado UFO Project, screening UFO reports for possible scientific study.

Stringfield was also an advisor to Sir Eric Gairy, former Prime Minister of Grenada, 1977-78, during his efforts to establish a UFO research agency within the framework of the United Nations.

Stringfield passed away in 1994, leaving a string of fascinating publications behind, one of which is "UFO Crash Retrievals: The Inner Sanctum - Status Report VI," written not long before his death. It is filled with interesting details about a number of major UFO cases, including Roswell and Kecksburg.

Inside "Ufology's Hot Kitchen"

Dated June 1991, Leonard Stringfield's sixth Status Report is by far the longest, at 140 pages, but I prefer the first three ones, as they just had details of various reports. With this sixth one, he includes details of other people's findings. He begins by recounting his experience when he delivered his first speech at a MUFON conference in 1978. J. Allen Hynek sat close to the front. A reported CIA official is quoted: "If Stringfield had said certain things about crash and retrievals, Hynek would have taken over." Stringfield states that Hynek demanded names and details from him. (In his book Revelations, Jacques Vallee states that Hynek met Stringfield several times.)

There is more on Roswell. It seems that a B-29 transported the bodies to Fort Worth on 9th July 1947, according to reported eyewitness testimony. As for the bodies, there were "autopsies of midget people with mongoloid heads that were accidentally exposed to high doses of radiation at Los Alamos" and a nurse stated that there were "human experiments for biological and nuclear medicine research." She saw small bodies with deformed heads and limbs and "thought they may have come from Japan after the war." The names Von Braun, Condon , Oppenheimer and Teller are mentioned in connection with this.

The issue of whether bodies associated with the Roswell incident are humans that had been experimented on, or aliens, is not satisfactorily resolved. Another list of names is mentioned: General Groves, Oppenheimer, Bush, von Neumann, von Karman, Steinhoff, LaPaz.

A craft with the same insignia as that on the reported 1964 Socorro craft makes a reappearance, this time near Tong Li Sap, Cambodia, 1972. A US Army Special Operations Group were reportedly engaged in a firefight with the occupants of an identified alien craft. The platoon reportedly happened on a group of aliens sorting human body parts in to large bins and sealing them. The craft reportedly emitted a high pitched hum. The encounter was supposedly reported to a representative of "MAJIC".

Future mind control author Armen Victorian appears in the pages. Also known as Henry Azadehdel, details are presented into his and UFO Crash at Aztec author William Steinman's investigation of Eric Walker, a scientist who reportedly was present at the Kecksburg reported UFO crash. Stringfield also presents Victorian/Azadehdel's interesting investigation into a reported UFO crash in South Africa in May 1989.

There is also an extensive report conducted by the Long Island UFO Network on a reported downing of a UFO at Moriches Bay, Long Island, New York in 1989, including pseudonymous testimony by a supposed scientist who says he discovered the technology on the alien craft to be crystalline-based.

Stringfield also presents details of hoax photos of aliens, including the New Mexico alien with a zipper. Editor of Flying Saucer Review Gordon Creighton stated that Timothy Good considered the photo might be genuine, however Stringfield states, "Facts, however, show that the alien was nothing more than a wax dummy, lying prone under a plexiglas canopy, on exhibition in Montreal, Canada, dating back to 1967."

What is the author's purpose ?

This book is unique. It has no chapters and also entirely different order numbers from the standard edition of the Book of Enoch. It seems the author intended to compose the some of a mystical fable. It is acceptable that this type of books may exist. But I cannot understand what this author makes to express really through the Book of Enoch original. Simply, I was interesting in it than some kinds of other the Book of Enoch. For instance, the book by R.K.Brown, or by J.B. Lumpkin.

Admittedly, R.H.Charles' edition in 1912 is the most important book, of course. Among others of the Book of Enoch, I think D.Olson's book is the particularly finest one.

By the way, a book which relates to Enoch was issued in the end of last year, titled "Fallen Angels and the History of Judaism and Christianity" - The Reception of Enochic Literature - by A.Y.Reed.
This book is excellent and outstanding indeed. I believe anyone who read the Book of Enoch sincerely, give their approval on this (her) book.

It's a big deal, after all, that a sitting senator was willing to write, "We must make the rescue of the environment the central organizing principle for civilization." And that's not all. In his 1992 book, Al Gore also wrote: I have become very impatient with my own tendency to put a finger to the political winds and proceed cautiously.... [E]very time I pause to consider whether I have gone too far out on a limb, I look at the new facts [on the environment crisis] that continue to pour in from around the world and conclude that I have not gone far enough.... [T]he time has long since come to take more political risks--and endure more political criticism--by proposing tougher, more effective solutions and fighting hard for their enactments.

And the buzz on the street is that Gore actually wrote those words himself.

When Earth in the Balance first came out, it caused quite a stir--and for good reason. It convincingly makes the case that a crisis of epidemic proportions is nearly upon us and that if the world doesn't get its act together soon and agree to some kind of "Global Marshall Plan" to protect the environment, we're all up a polluted creek without a paddle. Myriad plagues are upon us, but the worst include the loss of biodiversity, the depletion of the ozone layer, the slash-and-burn destruction of rainforests, and the onset of global warming. None of this is new, of course, nor was it new in 1992. But most environmentalists will still get a giddy feeling reading such a call to action as written by a prominent politician.

The book is arranged into three sections: the first describes the plagues; the second looks at how we got ourselves into this mess; and the final chapters present ways out. Gore gets his points across in a serviceable way, though he could have benefited from a firmer editor's hand; at times the analogies are arcane and the pacing is odd--kind of like a Gore speech that climaxes at weird points and then sinks just as the audience is about to clap. Still, at the end you understand what's been said. Gore believes that if we apply some American ingenuity, the twin engines of democracy and capitalism can be rigged to help us stabilize world population growth, spread social justice, boost education levels, create environmentally appropriate technologies, and negotiate international agreements to bring us back from the brink. For example, a worldwide shift to clean, renewable energy sources would create huge economic opportunities for companies large and small to design, build, and maintain solar panels, wind turbines, fuel cells, and other ecofriendly innovations.

Gore doesn't mince words when describing just how hard it will be to get out of this jam. Real hope is contingent on a swelling up of concern among the public--and fast. A year into the vice presidency, in an interview with writer Bill McKibben, Gore paraphrased a key passage in his book, "The minimum that is scientifically necessary far exceeds the maximum that is politically feasible." Ah, a political out. Some readers will ask of Gore: what has he done since publishing his book to advance the political feasibility of decisive environmental action? --Chip Giller

In a thoughtful, compelling primer, Gore, Democratic senator from Tennessee, attempts to explain environmentalism to a benighted American public that, as he discovered in his 1988 presidential bid, gives environmental issues low or no priority. Unraveling the grave dangers posed by global warming, thinning of the ozone layer, destruction of tropical rain forests, overuse of pesticides, incineration of municipal wastes and other human-made disasters, Gore takes on head-in-the-sand skeptics who try to minimize the severity of these ecological crises. Attacking Bush and Congress for failing to assume a leadership role in environmental problems, he outlines a "global Marshall Plan," a cooperative international effort to stabilize world population, create and share environmentally appropriate technologies, educate the public and institute accountability for polluters. The Superfund law that Gore coauthored in 1980 to clean up the nation's hazardous chemical dump sites has been an utter failure, partly due to lax EPA enforcement, he notes. This breadth of perspective should speak to a diversity of readers, while the final section, outlining a plausible plan of action, can capture the imaginations of practical as well as idealistic readers. We are burdening our fragile environment with waste and tearing it apart to acquire, always, more we than we need. In one lifetime even I have seen the detrimental effects of our careless use of resources and disregard for the fragility of the earth. This book is a wake up call for those who will listen, a call coming barely in time, if not already too late. This book is comprehensive, but clearly comprehensible.....an absolutely gripping read.

Great overview

Exactly as the title says--concise guide on biochemical methods. It also has a short chapter on biophysical methods, and another on mathematical methods.

Honestly, the price is a bit much for the item...but it a very good book--clearly written. I bought it and I was not disappointed at all.

PROS:

Brings together lots of hard to find information.

He has won many hackathons using a wide variety of technologies related to image recognition. David Millan Escriva

David Millan Escriva was eight years old when he wrote his first program on an 8086 PC with BASIC language, which enabled the 2D plotting of BASIC equations. He started with his computer development relationship and created many applications and games. In 2005, he completed his studies in IT from the Universitat Politecnica de Valencia with honors in human-computer interaction supported by Computer Vision with OpenCV (v0.96). He had a final project based on this subject and published it on HCI Spanish Congress. In 2014, he completed his Master's degree in artificial intelligence, computer graphics, and pattern recognition, focusing on pattern recognition and Computer Vision. He participated in Blender source code, an open source and 3D-software project, and worked in his first commercial movie, Plumiferos―Aventuras voladoras, as a computer graphics software developer. David now has more than 13 years of experience in IT, with more than nine years of experience in Computer Vision, computer graphics, and pattern recognition, working on different projects and start-ups, applying his knowledge of Computer Vision, optical character recognition, and augmented reality. He is the author of the DamilesBlog (http://blog.damiles.com), where he publishes research articles and tutorials on OpenCV, Computer Vision in general, and optical character recognition algorithms. Vinicius Godoy

Vinicius Godoy is a computer graphics university professor at PUCPR. He started programming with C++ 18 years ago and ventured into the field of computer gaming and computer graphics 10 years ago. His former experience also includes working as an IT manager in document processing applications in Sinax, a company that focuses in BPM and ECM activities, building games and applications for Positivo Informatica, including building an augmented reality educational game exposed at CEBIT and network libraries for Siemens Enterprise Communications (Unify). As part of his Master's degree research, he used Kinect, OpenNI, and OpenCV to recognize Brazilian sign language gestures. He is currently working with medical imaging systems for his PhD thesis. He was also a reviewer of the OpenNI Cookbook, Packt Publishing. He is also a game development fan, having a popular site entirely dedicated to the field called Ponto V (http://www.pontov.com.br). He is the cofounder of a startup company called Blackmuppet. His fields of interest includes image processing, Computer Vision, design patterns, and multithreaded applications.

Marvis is currently obtaining his MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and holds a BA of Science from Cornell University. He was coined a "Scholarship Guru" after he applied to 72 scholarships and won nearly $500,000 for his undergraduate studies. A coach, mentor, motivational speaker, Marvis has helped hundreds of students with various profiles obtain financial independence.

Great Tips - Well Worth The Buy

Underscoring the importance of a college education as well as the fact that financing a college education is no joke, this book provides advice on how best to go about attaining scholarships for tertiary education. Another important point the writer makes is that students don't necessarily have to be straight A students, sports buffs or in the crème de la crème category to earn scholarships. Sure it helps to have a few great accolades tucked under your belt when applying for a scholarship, but I think too many people use that silly myth to deter them from gaining much needed assistance.

This book is great because:

1. It provides life skills that will help readers beyond the process of scholarship applications.
2. It covers the full process of applying (Fasfa, applications, essays, interviews, post-scholarship) and includes secrets that have been vetted by current admission officers.
3. It provides tips to win a lot of money regardless of your current financial situation.

I highly recommend it!

There are countless books about scholarships online. However, thhis book is different.

What do you do in your freshmen, sophomore, junior, senior year to win a lot of scholarships? Check
How do you swift through the countless scholarships online? Check
Who do you recruit to help guide you throughout your scholarship search? Check
What to include in your story to make sure you stand out? Check
What other things can you do to make sure you stand out? Check

Some good information in the book. But the real value of the book is the internet addresses given to use in lookin up information. I do not regret buying this book.
